I’m super happy we have a Starscream that is pretty darn scale accurate. I’m fairly happy with the Powerizer Starscream. There’s a few minor things that bug me but overall this a great version of Starscream to add to your collection. Let’s get on with the review

Vehicle Mode: Starscream transforms into a modified F-16 Fighting Falcon. Well a heavily modified one. Size is pretty darn scale accurate. This really isn’t the whole cyberverse Arcee/ Revealers Arcee situation. (Cyberverse Vehicle Mode PERFECT Scale in comparison to Revealers,Powerizers, and First Editon and Robot Mode on the Revealers being accurate.) My one and only issue with vehicle mode. Is that the wings look really cheap. To me they look like wings off of a $1 toy airplane at a dollar general market…well…not that severe but close to it. The best thing about the Powerizer Starscream is the Kibble underneath has been minimized. It’s not as obvious as the FE. I could do without the purple cockpit but still his vehicle mode rocks. The First Edition will always have a place in my heart. But it just wasn’t big enough.

Transformation is…to me, a little bit more complex than the First Edition. The arms just don’t swing around like the FE. The have to be flipped rotated and snapped into place. The Legs are very easy. A rock could transform the legs. Honestly it’s the arms and chest thats the most complicated. Powerizer Starscream is not by any way as complicated as the First Edition Bulkhead. But more so than the FE. Transformation is quite fun too. I really enjoy Transforming him back and fourth. Parents I’m 100% positive this will be a challenging yet easy and fun figure to transform for your little ones. If you have to lend a helping hand I’m sure you’ll enjoy it yourself.

Robot mode. VERY happy with robot mode. Disappointed that his antenna is STILL NOT PAINTED RED….nor are his missiles PAINTED RED. Twice Hasbro has neglected this.BUT we have missiles that are more accurate. Not a cluster of missiles like the FE but a single missile on each arm (that can be placed under the wing in vehicle mode sorry folks I forgot to add that to the vehicle mode segment) The purple fore arms…enhh…but you’ll get used to it. It’s not as bad of an eyesore as the Powerizer Optimus Prime’s fore arms. The only other issue and most bothersome issue reguarding the Powerizer Starscream in total is his leg spikes. They are made of soft PVC plastic so if any kids are playing with this Starscream, it’s not going to cause severe or even moderate injury.Granted this is a great things for parents.Collectors….They are just way too soft and EXTREMELY flimsy. The first edtion’s leg spike at least were fairly sturdy…not this one. Fans and collectors…you’re going to hate this. Better for the kids but not us collectors. One really cool thing about the head sculpt is that his eyebrows actually protrude out instead of wrapping around his head. Way more accurate to the show.Something else I just thought about. Soundwave needs to be scaled up a bit now.

Overall this is a pretty darn good Starscream. If the leg spikes were a bit more solid. The Powerizer Starscream would be nearly perfect. Definitely add this one to your collection

I am an adult collector who prefers show-accuracy…and as much as I love the pose-ability and mold of this TFP Starscream, the colors are not really close to what he looks like on the show. I ended up repainting him to match his show model better. However as a toy, he is great! Fun to transform, fairly durable, and like I said, he can make some great Starscream-y poses!

Transformers Prime Powerizer Starscream is one of the coolest!I do own the first edition Starscream and by comparison this Powerizer version is just as awesome with a more sleek look in fighter jet mode with less clutter underneath.Robot mode may have moderately less detail, but is still very series accurate at the same time.Overall this is one of the best Powerizer versions done in the series.Starscream comes with 2 snap-on missiles and a cool null-ray blaster which activates energon glow for a realistic touch. The missile pod which converts to the null-ray blaster fits on either forearm in robot mode or can be stored on top the cockpit section on the back.In fighter jet mode the missile pod can attach to the top of the cockpit section or underneath either wing for added weaponary.Overall this is a more scale accurate size for Starscream being a voyager class that is just as good or better than the first edition deluxe class. The poseability is outstanding with awesome stability for creating cool battle scenes and poses for displaying where you please. The durability is excellent as well with secure joints and a solid build in either robot or jet fighter modes. All parts fit securely together as well during the transformation process to either mode. The transformation level is intermediate meaning if you have plenty of experience with transformers there is a mid-level difficulty. If you are a parent buying for a child of 5-6 or younger you might need to help some in the transformation process. The first part to start off is the trickiest of the process.First off raise the arms and chest pieces straight upwards. There are black pieces attached to the chest pieces ,you will want to rotate them so the chest pieces are rotated out so the arms are further from the side like an L-shape betwen the torso and arms when rotated back down. The arms rotate around so the tail pieces are to the inside while the hands rotate out palm side up.The arms will rotate up and fit securely underneath the shoulder armor. The arms then rotate around and upwards over the head piece to connect together forming the back piece of the jet fighter. The feet will then rotate down as the pieces on the side of the feet rotate up.The legs rotate around half way then rotate underneath to the back to finish forming the rear of the jet fighter. The nosecone then flips down as the wings will do the same. The pieces on the wings rotate down as well to securely connect on the side underneath the cockpit.Starscream is ready for flight! If you are a fan of Starscream this is a must have addition for any transformer collection.Bottom line Powerizer Starscream is a well-made,high quality,10 out of 10 transformer all fans will enjoy.I highly recommend Transformers Prime Powerizer Starscream to all transformer fans and collectors out there.Transformers Prime Powerizer Starscream Rocks and Transformers Rule!!!
