I think it’s safe to say this toy has already made me a fan of Predaking. I was a little upset when he was announced to be the big threat for Beast Hunters…but not as a combiner. Granted this isn’t the first time this has happened and I was equally upset with the prior release too (Cybertron Bruticus). But now after getting the hands on experience. I feel differently. Read on to find out why.

Predaking Transforms into a three headed dragon. Or just a single head dragon with the “hydra fire” blasters retracted. I must say, this Beast Mode is one scary looking dragon. His mouth does open an close which is always a great thing for me personally. I think it adds more agression on display. GREAT head sculpt.I love the silver highlights, the menacing yellow eyes. I would need a change of pants just looking at the dragons head if this guy was real.Poseabilty is pretty good. The wings really impressed me. I didn’t think there would be much pose ability at all in the wings but they’re actually decently pose-able. Overall this is a great beast mode for Predaking. I can see how this choice could put fear in any autobot or decepticon.

Transformation is AWESOME! The torso transformation and arms are pretty basic but his legs….wow. It’s unique. Much like the RID Wheeljack I’ve been transforming this guy back and fourth for at least an hour now. This is one advanced Transformer. It’s not complicated by any means but It may take you a few tries to get used to it. Then you won’t be able to stop from going back and fourth. Parents your little ones might need some help with transformation. I can already see (with the test subject being my son) that the torso they wont have a problem with, but the legs will be a little confusing. I wouldn’t recommend this toy for children under seven. If they’re under seven and they really want a predaking go cyberverse.I don’t know how many parents I’ve talked to that were angry because their child wanted a certain bot and I advised cyberverse…they give in and do the opposite and it gets broke in the first five minutes. I’m not trying to be a jerk parents Im just trying to save you guys money and save your child from heartbreak.

As for Robot mode…well. Thundertron was definitely a taste of things to come. Robot mode is just plain phenomenal. Super pose-able, Looks great, and is just bad____ all together. Like his beast mode head sculpt, his robot mode head is just as menacing and intimidating. He sports a sculpted-in crown that lets anyone know he is king and he’s the sheriff around the cybertronian parts…well..the evil sheriff. The part that really blows me away is that he has cybertronian symbols etched into his legs. Thank you Michael Bay for the Cybertronian Tattoo idea! I think it’s really cool. My one and only issue with this figure is that I feel like the wings should set higher up on his back. But they are actually attached about mid way on his back. Yes you can raise them up but it looks weird to me. He doesn’t have any problems standing. The wings do not make him back heavy at all. Oh yeah, theres a little nod to Beast Wars Dinobot. His hand transformation, 100% Dinobot.

Overall this is a SUPER AWESOME figure. Be sure not to miss out on this guy. Yes there is a bigger badder version due out later this year, but I can already tell you…buy this one, buy the supreme class too. Predaking truely is King of the Predacons and will be the jewel of your Beast Hunters Collection.
