Let me start off by saying that if you have the Dark of the Moon Starscream, this is essentially the same figure. Different paint job and weapon, but same transformation and look. However, if you’re a fan of the original cartoon then you’ll really like Thundercracker. The transformation itself is fairly easy once you get the hang of it. Be warned that some parts may pop off, but they have ball joints so just pop them back on. Poseability is amazing given how the Seeker figures have always looked sort of… chicken-like from the movies. Thundercracker is no exception given how tiny the legs may look, but they definitely hold him with ease. Also, the figure is not bulky at all which is shocking since I kept thinking that the back would be bulky. Thundercracker has shoulder, bicep, elbow, wrist, hops, knee, ankle and foot poseability as well as his head. No waist sadly, but I can deal without that. Overall, I’m very pleased. The only thing that’s missing? A Skywarp figure to complete the Seeker trio! Definitely pick up Thundercracker if you can find him anywhere.

When my son found out that Hasbro had made a Thundercracker for their “Mech Tech” line, he about flipped! It has been his absolute favorite Transformer since he was very young. Needless to say, it was #1 on the Christmas wish list. I was very pleased with the way it arrived, the way it was packaged, and of course the way it works! It’s surprisingly durable, and can be easily put back together if necessary. My son proudly displays his collection. He will have all of them in vehicle mode one day, and then robot form the next! :)

I give this a 5 for awesome looking plane mode and a 1 for lame looking crab robot mode.

Average is 3 stars, to be nice.
