I have to say first I have mixed feelings with the Autobot Beast Hunters. I think they look super cool but at the same time I feel like we aren’t going to see them like this in the show with the exception of Optimus. I have a strong feeling he will be undergoing a “reformatting”. Anyway for my next review I will be reviewing Beast Hunters Wheeljack. Take to the jump to see if this figure is right for your collection.

Wheeljack transforms into a cybertronian armored Ferrari/ Lamborghini mix. I think his vehicle mode looks pretty awesome. My one and ONLY problem is the metal screws that held the wheels on for the RID version…welp…they’re plastic now…snap on. I just feel like they will break if too much pressure is put on ole jack. This is pretty much the same mold as the RID version with the exception of the BH Armor. I’m glad to see Wheeljack has a “blady” appearance due to the fact this version of Wheeljack uses Swords and…one grenade. The added armor does become a slight problem later but it’s something I can work with. Wheeljack rolls really well and seems to be the only figure in this line that doesn’t have any problem staying together well.

Transformation is exactly the same as the RID version for the most part. The Back piece has been replaced with a new molded piece that adds a few steps to the transformation but it’s still just as fun to transform as the RID version. This is also where the added armor becomes a problem. Transforming him to car to robot…not an issue. But when transforming him back the arms are a little tough to get popped in place because of the armor on the fender well. The wings get in the way a little too. Parents you may have to help with this one. Some of the joints are pretty tight and may break easy.Take caution when buying this one for children under 7.Spare them the heart break of a broken toy on day 1.

Robot mode is pretty darn cool. He reminds me of a Gundam now. There is a new headsculpt which I was kinda hoping to be facemask less. But Im still happy. Just a couple of spikes added in.Different paint too. I really really appreciate that there is a autobot logo on him now. Thank you again hasbro for listening.I just wish they would have added the logo to the RID wheeljack…it would have went a long way.The wings get in the way of robot mode to but you can fold them back to get a little bit more rotation out of his arms.Believe it or not the wings do not make him back heavy at all. His weapon…im still trying to find the words to describe how I feel about it. What I can say is why didn’t Hasbro just give him a double bladed sword or something.

Overall I love the look of wheeljack and I was glad I bought this one.Not my favorite of the Beast Hunters line but still very worth picking up and adding to your collection

Bought this for a 6 year old boy. He was really excited! Great toy for him, and overall fun. Played all evening long with his transformer toys.
