ok my family was going through target to buy some stuff, and i’m ten years old. my dad let us have a toy
that cost five dollars. of course, i didn’t find anything cheap things that i liked so i didn’t get anything. but my brothers (two of them, two girls too) decided to buy blades and heatwave. heatwave wasn’t very impressive, but blades was the better of the two.
his transformation was fairly easy and he transforms into a bird of prey, or was it a sort of dinobot? i dunno. the subline is rescue bots but i thought blades was a helicopter or something, but transformers sometimes scan new modes. blades has a gimmick that makes his wings flap at a push of a button. there are sculpted guns on the wings, which technically doesn’t make him weaponless, unlike heatwave. the transformation is fairly simple. it’s just pushing down the legs and pushing up the hands. blades doesn’t have any paper instructions, unlike the thrilling 30, generations, dark of the moon and other toys i have. but the instructions are just at the back the cardboard, which reminds me of the one step changers in the age of extinction toyline. actually, this toy was a very good toy, but it lacks articulation, but then, it’s kid-friendly, right? overall I recommend this toy for kids over the age of five, but for older kids, it might not be so fun

Much Better Than The Heatwave Dino Bot, July 3, 2014

My four year old really likes this toy, but then again, he likes just about anything that has to do with Rescue Bots. This one is built much, much better than the Heatwave version of the same toy. He broke that one in all of about 5 minutes. But this one doesn’t have the same kind of mechanism, and has more of a folding motion than a locking one like Heatwave. I wouldn’t pay the $10 they’re asking for, but the $4-5 I paid was well worth it.

This rescue Dino has transformed without problems and had been played with for a while. I would suggest this blades Dino bot over the heat wave one. My only recommendation is to buy elsewhere, this is regularly $3.99 at other stores given it’s size. These are not the same size as the regular rescue bots, these fit perfectly in a toddlers hand and small enough to be hidden in an adults. Blades is a good choice.
